C'est la vie
C'est la Vie
Fragments of memories.
Sun rays on the window, speckled perfectly.
Running and running until you can’t breath,
And then laying on the grass,
watching the clouds stray pass.
Climbing the mountain and remembering,
then forgetting how else we were living.
This was here long before you,
and will continue to be after you’re gone.
Still, you are here and this is it!
A runaway from the city,
running into the
woods.
I need the bright lights and the long
drives.
And I need the endless skies and idle
mountains.

This was inspired by something Georgia O'Keeffe said in one of her letters:
“When I stand alone with the earth and sky
a feeling of something in me going off
in every direction into the unknown of
infinity
means more to me than anything..”
nice:)
